A Ring Story.

Hello everyone. This post is somewhat special because it’s our first collaboration with an online store. This time, we have collaborated with an Instagram store called ‘Vidhi Jewels’. They offer a wide and a very beautiful collection of jewellery at pocket friendly prices!

Today, I will be showing you how to style these three rings that  recently received from Vidhi Jewels.

One trend that I am absolutely in love with is the ‘Highlighter Trend’! One can always add a sense of punk to your otherwise minimal outfits. You can adorn this trend by wearing statement shoes, bags, earrings, etc. There are so many ways to it! I have tried to incorporate this subtle silver two faced ring with my Carlton London pink footwear. Please remember to keep the other elements of your look subtle while trying this look unless you want to be spotted from distances!

Another gorgeous piece that I received was this ‘Blue Cocktail Ring’. Since its the summer season and is the perfect time of the year to wear maxi skirts, why not team this ring with one such skirt. Last but not the least was this geometric golden colour ring. There are a lot of ways in which we can pair this ring. Since every girl has at least one LBD in their closet, I guess it is a great idea to carry thing ring with a best fitted black dress. Wear a metallic golden best and you are done! Play with different hairstyles according to the occasion!

It's a Print Story!

Printed accessories, jackets, pants, dresses, etc have taken over the whole fashion industry for a roller coaster ride! One can choose from many prints in various textures and colours. One can go for a casual look or a very chic, formal look in the same print!

One can pair up a simple printed top with a well fitted denim and a summer coat in pastel colour. This creates a very trendy yet casual look perfect for a lunch date or a movie! You can even pair the top with a pastel coloured plazzo pant.

To attain a party look, go in for an ‘all print look’. You have various prints to select from-checks, polka dots, abstract prints, geometric prints, floral prints, etc. Let the print reflect your personality in the best way possible! Adding a sleek belt with the dress is never a bad idea!

5 things that are very important this summer season.

Since it’s all about ‘summers’ here at ‘How I Like It!’, we bring you a list of things which are a must for every girl this summer!

1.   1. Sunscreen- I know this is an obvious one but still. It is very important to choose a sunscreen having the desired SPF.  An important tip to keep in mind while using any sunscreen is that you should apply it at least 15 mins before you step out in the sun. Give your sunscreen ample time to be absorbed in your skin. Also, once you expose your skin to water, a reapplication is a must. Water does not complete wash away the cream but lessens its effects.

1.       2. Sunglasses-  besides being a style statement, it is a must for everyone to protect your eyes from the harsh rays of the sun. It is advisable to be very sure of the sunglasses before buying them. The glass should be protecting your eyes from the UV rays.  Other than this, there is a wide variety of sunglasses available for you to pick from. The size and the shape should be chosen on depending upon the face cut and size.

1.       3. A hat- summers season is the best one for wearing a hat. Before buying a hat, check that the rim is equal on all sides so that it can protect you from the scotching heat aptly. It also gives a very summery look. Pair it up with light coloured or a pastel coloured shirt dress and a narrow belt. Do not forget your sunnies!

      Experiment with a variety of hats available- solid coloured, regular coloured, with bows, with satin ribbons, etc.

1.      4.  Lip balm- just like your skin and hair, your lips also need to be moisturised. Summer heat makes your lips dehydrated and need to be taken care of. Pick a lip balm that has a moisturising effect as well has a nice colour. For the day time, go for light shades of pinks and nudes whereas you can go with bold colours in the night time.

    5.  Rose water- it is very necessary to hydrate and clean your face with rose water every time you get back home. Make it a habit to sprinkle a few sprays of rose water after washing your face every time you get back home. It also gives you a refreshing feel.

Since it is that part of the year when having your hair open all the time is a big pain, we bring you some fresh and stylish ways to tie your hair. These hair styles are really trendy and fuss free!

1.  Messy Bun

This is one of the best and the easiest way to avoid hair coming over your face. Messy buns actually look very cute if styled with a pair of loose t-shirt, denim shorts and a pair of sneakers, maybe floral print ones! (Check out our previous blog on summer trends to know more about these here ) You can also experiment with a lot of accessories when making a messy bun- hair bows, head bands, scarves, etc.(comment below if you want a DIY on hair bows).

This style can be carried with almost all looks. I really mean it. Be it a formal look, a casual lunch, a day out at the beach, this hair style is perfect for all occasions!

This hair styles is one of my favourites as it looks so chic. Wear a sheer shirt with sequined or studded collars. Tuck in the shirt in a pair of well fitted denims and grab a pair of sunglasses. Tie your hair in a high ponytail and you are done! :D

1.       Beach waves

For a more relaxed day, this hair styles works just perfect. If you’re planning to go out for a movie or a lunch date, this hair style is the one to do. Wear a crop top with a maxi skirt or a high-low skirt and a pair of flats. Do not forget to carry a pair of reflector sunglasses!

Hello everyone! As the summer season sets in, I’m sure by now you guys have adapted yourselves to your summer routines. With so many trends setting in this season, looking your best is a big challenge! So, here I am to help you guys revamp your closets with a few looks that will make you look effortlessly trendy yet summer ready! :D

Crop Tops

With hundreds of variations already existing, crop tops have taken a major place in everyone’s closet this season! Cropped V-neck, lace, sequined, cut-outs, crop tanks, chiffon are just a few of the wide range of fun crop tops that can be paired with different looks for different occasions.

The key to follow this trend is to make sure your bottoms appropriately compliment your crop tops.

For a casual day look, pair up a quirky crop top with a pair of high-waisted shorts to attain an effortless look.

My fav this season are plain solid coloured pleated maxi skirts. :D These are flowy and look perfect for a summer day!

Floral prints have found their way in every piece of clothing and accessories this season. Skirts, pants, plazzos, tshirts, shirts, sneakers, watch, etc, everything has its own variation with floral prints.
