One with ART POP HANDMADE!

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a great day!

A few days ago, I had received some really cute handmade illustrative goodies from Art Pop!

Art Pop

I am absolutely amazed with the skill that Art Pop has. It is just amazing how they personalize gifts and goodies for everyone. Check out their Instagram page now!

Today, I will be telling you guys what all I received.

First is an ‘animal illustration card’ that simply depicts bonding and friendship. It is just too cute! After all, who doesn’t like animals?

Next up is a ‘heart garland’ inserted in an orange envelope with hearts all over! This garland is made to be used for decorating purposes. This is my fav :D

Confetti never fails to cheer up anyone’s mood. Art Pop truly believes in this. Next is a small match box titled ‘POP’ containing confetti! :D

What came up next is a ‘dog card’ that can be used as a gift tag or a book mark. Art Pop certainly keeps in mind my love for books and dogs.

As they say, best is always saved for the last. These ‘emoji gift tags’ made my day! After all, all of us love emojis, don’t we? (these three are my favourite ones though :D )

Thank you so much Art Pop for these goodies. They are absolutely adorable!

Summer Layering

Hello everyone! I hope you guys are doing well. :)

Summer layering has always been a fun idea to funk up your otherwise boring t-shirts and tops.

Layering is often mistaken to be associated with the winter season only. Today I will attempt to show you how you can layer up your summer outfits.

Today, I have layered a plain white tang top with a summery olive green lace shrug. This shrug is perfect for a day out in the scorching heat of Delhi!

I have kept my make up minimal because of this humid hot weather these days! I have also applied the ‘Sally Hansen Nail Colour in the shade Berry Pretty’ that I had received in my May Fab Bag. To read my review of the May Fab Bag, click here .

You can look up for a variety of shrugs and buy one according to your style.

Always remember to balance out your outfit. If your shrug is heavy on prints or hand work, so for a plain top and vice versa unless you want to be the center of attention for all wrong reasons!

I have also teamed up this ‘golden long tassel earcuff’ and a bracelet that has a cute heart chime in it with this look. Gold-based jewellery always look amazing with white and olive green! Both of these pieces of accessories are from an online store called 'The Girl Next Door'. Head to their page to check out their collection now!

Denim Love!

Hello lovelies! I am back with another exciting post. In this post, have incorporated one of my favourite piece of clothing i.e., a denim jacket.  Denim jacket is one go-to piece of clothing. It can be worn with everything and anything! (literally!!)

Today, I am wearing a washed light blue denim jacket with a basic white tang top and a pair of navy blue denims. This combo is the easiest to carry on any day or occasion.

Since floral loafers and sneakers are a big hit this season, I thought why shouldn’t I include them in this look?! I am wearing a pair of floral loafers in the colour palette white, pink and blue. I think they look perfect with this look.

As far accessories are concerned, I am wearing an earcuff and a pearl ring from an online store called ‘Fashion Fleaa’. One rule that I think is a must while wearing an earcuff is that one must either have an up hair do or side swept hair. This helps the earcuff to stand out and show its charm! :D

It’s All White!

Top: local store in GK1 M block, Denims:Levis, Shoes: streetstylestore.com , Earrings: The Girl Next Door

White has always been my favourite especially in summers. Nothing can look more graceful than a white shirt or a white dress.

I had spotted this white top a few months back at a local store in GK 1 M-block. Yes, I do shop from local stores too! This white top caught my attention in one go because of its intricate embroidery.
Today, I have paired this crisp top with my navy blue denims and grey flats. Grey looks absolutely edgy with white, always remember that!

Since it is summer time and it is becoming horribly hot in here, keeping your hair off your face is a must. I have tied my hair into a high messy bun.

One of my fav accessories are these green stone earrings from an online store called ‘The Girl Next Door’. They complete my look in a minimalistic yet chic way.

May Fab Bag!

So finally after much of a delay, my May Fab Bag has arrived. It was delayed because they were shifting to a new warehouse due to the increasing number of orders they are taking! Cheers for that!

For the people who do not know what a ‘Fab Bag’ is, it is a monthly subscription of 4-5 beauty products from some amazing brands specially put together for you. By this way, you get to try new products every month which you can include in your routine if you like them. You can order this subscription from their website ( www.fabbag.com) .

One thing that I really love about this subscription is that they send your products in a good quality make up bag that is based on their monthly theme! Also, this bag is different for every month! So, Fab bag gains brownie points for that!

Coming back to the May Fab Bag and its contents, this month’s theme is ‘Sun, Sand, Sexy’ since it the best time of the year to hit the beach. also, the bag depicts the theme perfectly through the blue and white stripes! I am amazed how the crew of Fab Bag manages to fit their theme in the bag so aptly!

The first product that I received is the ‘Vana Vidhi Oriental Rice Paddy Luxurious Face & Body Scrub’. The best part about this scrub is that since it is made up of rice and ayurvedic oils, it does not scratch your skin unlike the other scrubs. Also, it has an amazing aroma.

Next one is the ‘Sand for Soapaholics After Glow’. This is also made up of plants and other natural things. This fact reduces the chances of side effects which is an added advantage. You just have to take a bit of ‘After Glow’, make a paste with water and massage it on your face. Wash off with clean water and you are set to glow!

Up next is the ‘Be a Bombshell One stick’. This multipurpose stick is available in different shades. The one that I got is in a ‘Buckwild’ shade. You can use this one as an eye shadow base or for contouring.

Next one is a ‘Sally Hansen Diamond Nail Strength’ . The shade that I have got is ‘Berry Pretty’ out of the pink palette which is perfect for the beach look. Also, its consistency is just perfect! :D

Last but not the least is the ‘Fab bag Bonus Scraf’. Who doesn’t like bonus products? We all do,don’t we? The one that I got is in a black and a subdued red colour. I will soon style this one! :D

So this is it for this time. Hope you liked this post on the Fab Bag! Like us on our Facebook page here and follow us on Insagram ( @howilikeitjournal).

DIY cosmetic holder!

Tired of finding your make up essentials every day? Here is a perfect DIY for you!

This cosmetic holder is super easy to make and customisable!

Materials-

A box which a narrow opening. If you do not find such a box, you can insert a cardboard partition inside any box and make a similar one.

Scissors

Fevicol

Black spray paint

Craft paper

To begin with, I have already stuck two boxes together along their lengths. This is just to increase space! I found these boxes inside a wedding gift box! :p you can look around your home or get it at cheap prices from a scarp dealer.

After joining the boxes, grab your spray paint can and spray on the box keeping it upside down on a spread sheet of newspaper like so!

Remember to do this step in open air otherwise your room will be full of its smell! Let it dry for around 1.5-2 hours otherwise it will be sticky and the paint would chip off when you store your products in it.

Meanwhile, make the shape of a heart on your craft paper and cut it out. Repeat the step on different textured or coloured paper until you have enough of these hearts.

You can always customise your box by choosing some other design. This part is totally up to you!

Once the paint is dry, start pasting the hearts on the surface of the box. Stick these by placing a single dot of fevicol on the back of each heart. This would give a 3D effect.

Remember to hide as many void spaces as you can.

Cover all the four surfaces of the box and let it dry for another 1 hour and you are done!

Your customised and super cute cosmetic holder is ready! Now you would not have to spend time every morning finding your cosmetic!

Let me know how did you make yours by tagging me on instagram (@howilikeitjournal). I would love to see your creations! :D

Also, head to my instagram handle to take part in #mybirthdaygiveaway by #krafftwork. The giveaway ends on 7th June 12pm.
